WBO light welterweight champion Terence Crawford (27-0, 19 KOs) stopped Dierry Jean (29-2, 20 KOs) in the 10th round on Saturday night at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Crawford dropped Jean in the first and 9th rounds and then used a flurry of punches to cause him to buckle into the ropes in the 10th, before thre referee ended the fight.

The unbeaten American dominated Jean throughout and while the Canadian challenger landed a few good punches, he took a one-sided beating.

Crawford pressed the action from the start and knocked down Jean with a left hook late in the first round.

He continued to punish the challenger as the fight progressed and knocked Jean down again late in the ninth with an excellent combination.

In the following round, Crawford connected with more hard shots before referee Tony Weeks waved off the bout at 2:30 of the round with Jean slumped along the ropes.

"I did whatever I wanted to do," said Crawford. "He said he had punching power, but he had none. I controlled him."

Next, Crawford looks set to face Manny Pacquiao on April 9,  in what is expected to be Pacquiao's final fight.
