British super middleweight George Groves (21-2, 16 KOs) will challenge WBC champion Badou Jack (19-1-1, 12 KOs) on August 22 in Las Vegas.

Jack, 31, a native of Sweden who now resides in Las Vegas, will make his first world title defence after dethroning Anthony Dirrell on points in April.

Groves, 27, who will be getting his third shot at a 168-pound world title, has won his last two outings since he was stopped twice by countryman Carl Froch in his previous world title attempts.

Groves’ promoters - Sauerland Event and Jack’s promoters - Mayweather Promotions made a deal a few weeks ago but the date wasn’t finalized until now. The venue is still to be determined.
