Dereck Chisora vs Malik Scott on July 20
British heavyweight Dereck Chisora (16-4) faces unbeaten American Malik Scott (35-0-1) to headline Frank Warren's "Behind Enermy Lines" bill on July 20 at Wembley Arena, live on BoxNation.
Chisora had hoped to fight another unbeaten American Deontay Wilder (28-0) on June 15, but Wilder could not guarantee that his pending legal troubles would be resolved in time to allow him to travel overseas.
His showdown with Scott fills the void left behind when original plans to face Wilder was scrapped. Shorty after the show was rescheduled, Scott threw his name into the mix as a willing opponent.
Scott travels abroad for the first time in his career and faces Chisora on the back of a draw with Ukraine's Vyacheslav Glazkov in their February bout that many felt the American had won.
'Del Boy' returned to the ring in April stopping Hector Avila in nine rounds for his first official win in well over a year, Chisora lost three straight and hadn't fought since his well-publicized knockout loss to David Haye last summer.
"I wasn't that disappointed when Wilder pulled out," said Chisora. "The show must go on. This guy Scott is a very tough fighter, very good around the ring. (Trainer) Don Charles and I have seen some footage of him fighting and he's good. This will be a tougher fight than Wilder, but I'm going to beat him up."
