Yoan Pablo Hernandez-Victor Emilio Ramirez set for October 2
IBF cruiserweight champion Yoan Pablo Hernandez (29-1, 14 KOs) will defend his title against former WBO champion Victor Emilio Ramirez (22-2, 17 KOs) on October 2 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Hernandez, a native of Cuba, now residing in Germany, has not fought since his points win over Firat Arslan in August 2014, mainly due to a right elbow injury. But following repeated delays, the southpaw will now travel to the challenger’s home country and make his fifth title defence.
Ramirez outpointed Ola Afolabi in April to win the interim IBF cruiserweight title and set up this fight.
