Italian Job for Chisora on November 30
European heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora (18-4) will face unbeaten Italian challenger Matteo Modugno (14-0) at the Copper Box Arena on November 30.
Chisora, 29, captured the European title after a dominating display in stopping German Edmund Gerber inside five rounds last month to claim his third straight stoppage win.
'DelBoy' has reproduced his winning form this year and promised to destroy Modugno as he looks for a world title shot in 2014.
The 6'6 ½" undefeated challenger from Langhirano, has 8 KOs in 14 fights with his last 4 all stoppages. The 26-year-old is the Italian champion and holds a win over fellow countryman and former European champion Paolo Vidoz.
"Modugno won't be going the distance with me he's getting smashed early," said Chisora.
"He's young, hungry and undefeated and he'll come over here looking to take me out , but that's not happening, I'm packing him back to Italy battered and broken. This is my comeback year and there's no way he's going to ruin my road back to the world title."
Chisora-Modugno headlines a card also featuring British and Commonwealth middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders (19-0), Bradley Skeete (13-0) v Colin Lynes (37-10) for the English welterweight title and Frank Buglioni (10-0) challenging for the vacant WBO European super middleweight title, all live and exclusive on BoxNation.
