Marquez eyes fight with Bradley
Former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez confirmed WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley is likely to be is next opponent.
Marquez (55-6-1) expressed his desire to capture his fifth world title at a fifth weight division and the WBO title is his next target.
Bradley (30-0) gained a close points decision over Ruslan provodnikov on Saturday to retain the WBO strap possibly setting up a fight with Marquez. "For a long time Bradleys name has been mentioned to fight me and he should be after gaining that victory on Saturday night," said Marquez.
The Mexican icon will decide his next opponent in April after negotiating with promoters Fernando Beltran and Bob Arum.
A fifth fight with Manny Pacquiao looks unlikely, with Marquez stating he has accomplished all his goals when it comes to fighting the Filipino fighter and says a fifth fight would be pointless. The 39-year-old Marquez last fought Pacquiao in December and won after a stunning sixth round knockout.
