Froch slams Groves and Cleverly for helping Kessler
IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch (30-2) has hit out at George Groves and Nathan Cleverly for helping out WBA super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler with sparring to prepare him ahead of their unification fight this Saturday night at the 02 Arena, London live on Sky Sports Box Office.
Froch has branded fellow super middleweight Groves, who features on the undercard, and WBO light heavyweight champion Cleverly jealous and accused them of lacking class and loyalty.
"They can do what they want, but they are British fighters and should have a bit more class and, yes, loyalty.
I certainly wouldn't help a foreign fighter prepare for a British fighter. It just shows they are quite bitter and jealous.
It's not going to help Kessler. Neither of them can mimic my style and neither of them have got my resolve. I'm a league above the pair of them."
