Garcia blasts out Juanma in four
Mikey Garcia (32-0) stopped former two division world champion Juan Manuel Lopez (33-3) in the 4th round on Saturday night at the American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas.
You've got to feel sorry for Juanma after losing to the much heavier looking Garcia, who had failed to make the weight the day earlier in giving up his WBO featherweight title on the scales.
Garcia's jab was touching Juanma in the first though Lopez was able to land a few good lefts.
In the 2nd, Garcia started landing with his left hand. But then a counter right knocked Lopez down. However, he made it up and survived the round.
In the 3rd, Garcia started letting his hands go and tagging Juanma with hard punches. Juanma started making a war of it in the 4th, but Garcia landed a big combination that sent the Puerto Rican down on his back. He barely made it up and the referee stopped the fight with Juanma out on his feet.
